Conceptualized Individual Attention: Cycle Test

Sanjivani International School, Shirdi believes that every child is a unique entity in his/her own way. We bring out a learning programme wherein the learning goals are carved through three levels of enrichment, improvement and excellence in accordance with the potential of the child. Never has it promoted the comparison between the two individuals to acquire this we conduct a Cycle Test of 20 Marks each Subject on every Thursday. (Completes 4 Rounds of each subect In an Academic Year)

Comprehensive-Curriculum-Evaluation: (Grade I to III)

At Sanjivani International School, Shirdi, evaluation process is objective and continuous for both scholastic and non-scholastic achievements of the students. In the scholastic category, there is a monthly unit test, cycle test, term examination, preparatory examination and annual examination in all the core subjects and languages. Grades are given in the non-core subjects such as music, art and craft, computer science and sports. Internal assessment is based on the students’ performance in projects, seminars and assignments.

Assessment for classes VI to VIII

Subjects TERM-1 (100 marks)

(1st half of the session) 20 marks Periodic Assessment + 80 marks for Half Yearly Exam

Subjects TERM-2 (100 marks)

(2nd half of the session) 20 marks Periodic Assessment + 80 marks for Yearly Exam

Language -1, Language -2, Language -3, Mathematics, Science, Social Science

Any other Subjects PA 20 marks

  • Periodic Test 10 marks with syllabus covered till announcement of test dates by school
  • Note Book Submission 5 marks at term end
  • Sub Enrichment 5 marks at term end

 HALF YEARLY EXAM

Written exam for 80 marks with syllabus covered till announcement of Half Yearly exam dates by school PA 20 marks

  • Periodic Test
  • 10 marks with syllabus covered till announcement of test dates by school
  • Note Book submission 5 marks at termend
  • Sub Enrichment 5 marks at term end

 YEARLY EXAM

Written exam for 80 marks with syllabus covered till announcement of Half Yearly exam dates by school PA 20 marks

  • Periodic Test
  • Class VI: 10% of 1st term covering significant topics + entire syllabus of 2nd term
  • Class VII:20% of 1st term covering significant topics + entire syllabus of 2nd term
  • Class VIII: 30% of 1st term covering significant topics + entire syllabus
  • Annual Examination (80 Marks) for Class IX
  • School Based Exam at the year end.
  • 80 Marks Exam for each subject covering 100% of the syllabus of Class IX.
  • Internal Assessment – 20 Marks; Periodic Test – 10 Marks;
  • Notebook Submission – 5 Marks; Subject Enrichment Activity – 5 Marks.

 PERIODIC TEST (10 MARKS)

  • Three Periodic Tests to be conducted in the academic year.
  • Average of the best 2 tests to be taken for final marks submission (converted to 10).
  • Cumulative syllabus.

 Notebook Submission (5 Marks)

  • Regularity, Assignment Completion, Neatness and notebook upkeep.

 Subject Enrichment (5 Marks)

  • Language – Activities aimed at equipping the learner to develop effective speaking and listening skills.

 Mathematics

  • Lab activities and Projects.

 Science

  • Practical Work.

 Social Science

  • Map and Project Work.
  • 5 point Grading Scale (A to E)
  • No up scaling of grades.
  • Discipline: Attendance, Sincerity, Behavior, Values – Students will be assessed on a 5 Point Scale (A – E).
  • Grades in Scholastic Areas (Class IX)
  • Grading Scale for Scholastic Areas: – Grades are awarded on a 8-point grading scale as follows:

 Board Examination (80 Marks) for Class X

  • Board will conduct an Examination for 80 marks.
  • 100% syllabus of each subject of Class X only.
  • Both Marks and Grades will be allotted by the Board for each subject.
  • However, School will also conduct Pre-Board Exam for the students.
